Innovative new integrated advertising option now available across online and mobile
Sydney, Australia, Tuesday 9 September 2008: ninemsn today announced the launch of display advertising on Windows Live products on Mobile devices. Advertisers on Australia's most popular email and instant message products, Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger, will now have the option for fully integrated campaigns across online and mobile platforms.
"Consumers are connected to various platforms at home, at work and on-the-go, and the smart brands are starting to create multi-platform campaigns to reach and engage them. By introducing advertising on Windows Live on Mobile, ninemsn is delivering advertisers even more opportunities to engage and interact with consumers," said ninemsn Director of Mobile, Dean Capobianco.
"This exciting development underscores our commitment to create the most innovative and engaging options for advertisers."
Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Hotmail reach online audiences in Australia of 4.5 million and 6 million respectively each month and around 100,000 people on mobile phones.
With inventory of more than 3.4 million advertising impressions per month on Hotmail and Messenger on mobile, ninemsn has developed four share-of-voice, category exclusive advertising packages which are sold-out at launch to Hyundai, Cadbury Schweppes, Commonwealth Bank and Paramount Home Entertainment. The advertising package includes ninemsn's in-house mobile development team building mobile sites to support the campaigns.
Accessing email and IM on mobile is forecast to grow strongly with an anticipated 31 per cent of mobile users considering using email on the phone and 25 per cent intending to use Messenger*.
"The shift to a mobile world means we must produce creative, interactive and flexible campaigns for our brand and products that engage the constantly moving target audience and with the ability to advertise in Hotmail and Messenger across online and mobile we can do just that," said Oliver Mann, Hyundai’s General Manager of Marketing.
