Sydney, Australia, Thursday 5 February 2009: HWW, a wholly owned ninemsn company and Australia's largest publisher of entertainment and lifestyle listings, announced today that its partnership with FOXTEL has been extended for a further three years.
Since the inception of the partnership in 2003, HWW has managed FOXTEL's TV listings content including aggregation, enhancement and delivery services. The listings are used across the FOXTEL network as part of the Electronic Program Guide as well as in the FOXTEL magazine and on the FOXTEL website www.foxtel.com.au.
Commenting on the announcement, Mike Sneesby, Director of Strategic Partnerships at HWW, said: "We are delighted with the extension of our contract with FOXTEL, an agreement that will result in a decade-long and immensely valued partnership with them.
"With the most comprehensive and accurate coverage of every free-to-air and subscription TV program screening in Australia, HWW is proud to provide the program guide information for over 170 FOXTEL channels," Mr Sneesby said.
FOXTEL Executive Director of Sales & Product, Patrick Delany said: "We have enjoyed a successful working relationship with HWW for several years and knowing how important it is to our subscribers to have accurate TV listings – especially with the evolution of our Guide from television to the internet and mobile phones – it was a natural decision to continue working together.
"This year we will be further enhancing all forms of our Electronic Program Guide to include new features. HWW’s expert ability to provide seamless data aggregation, cleaning and content management services will be essential to these enhancements and we look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come."
HWW is the leading creator, aggregator and publisher of quality content across new and old media including major online publishers, pay TV providers, wireless and print publishers. The company provides digital program listings data to all the other major subscription television providers in Australia, including AUSTAR and TransACT.
