Sydney, Australia, Wednesday 11 February 2009:TheFIX, Australia's leading online entertainment destination, has set a new record for the most daily visitors per month for an Australian entertainment website.
TheFIX recorded an average of over 193,000 Australian unique browsers per day in January 2009, and over 49 million page impressions for the month, representing a 20% increase in average daily unique browsers from January 2008, and a massive 85% increase in page impressions year on year.
Commenting on the success of the site, Carolyn Managh, Marketing Director at ninemsn, said: "Since the launch of TheFIX in November 2007, the site has seen outstanding growth amongst an audience that is traditionally difficult to reach and connect with.
"TheFIX’s irreverent, opinionated and uniquely Australian perspective resonates incredibly well with our audience – be it in the commentary of the CelebrityFIX or the cheeky on-the-street vox pops hosted by roving reporter Jordan Loukas.
"We know the audience love TheFIX because they are telling us what they think in the thousands of blog comments each day – gone are the days of simply serving up content to the silent masses!" Ms Managh said.
The FIX's editorial offering is bolstered by its numerous content partners including video provider Splash Media, specialist celebrity photo agency Snapper Media and Australia’s top film and music distributors who choose
TheFIX as the platform to premiere their hottest releases each week.
TheFIX is the home of CelebrityFIX, MovieFix, MusicFix and TVFIX, which have all experienced substantial growth since their launch dates.
