Underbelly downloads top 60,000

Sydney, Australia, Thursday 26 February 2009:Underbelly, A Tale of Two Cities is the most downloaded program in the history of ninemsn, with episode downloads to date totalling over 60,000 in just 17 days.

Since its launch on Monday February 9, 2009, Australians have flocked to ninemsn.com.au/underbelly to legally download and share online episodes of this season's hottest show through ninemsn's Catch Up TV service.

Carolyn Managh, Marketing Director at ninemsn said: "Reaching this milestone for ninemsn shows us that when Australians are giving the option of downloading something legally they embrace it. We are delighted to provide our audience with free legal episodes of Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities and offer an online extension to the television experience. Video downloads are becoming increasingly popular and we are well placed to offer free, legal, uninterrupted downloads of Australia's favourite television programs."

Also available for free download on Catch Up TV are episodes of the Channel Nine smash hit shows, Ladette to Lady and Farmer Wants a Wife. In 2008, Catch Up TV was the only place to watch McLeod’s Daughters for free after it was taken off air, while programs like Sea Patrol and Canal Road were made available on Catch Up TV before they were aired on television.

Suzuki, Tourism New Zealand and the Department of Defence have all been confirmed as online commercial sponsors for the Underbelly, A Tale of Two Cities.
